The Provincial Ranger Committee (RAC)

RAC consists of five Rangers and two adults
- President
- Secretary-Treasurer
- The News RAC Editor
- Public Relations Officer
- Ranger Representative
- Provincial Ranger Adviser – adult member
- Deputy Ranger Adviser – adult member
The role of RAC is to
- deal with business
- organize events and trips
- determine merchandise
- publish a newsletter
All registered BC Rangers are invited to attend the annual Ranger RACket held in the spring (April usually). Its location is different each year.
At RACket the Rangers will
- attend the AGM
- learn the latest Ranger news
- hear what RAC has accomplished
- hold elections
- host a local service project
- run a silent auction (girls decide where proceeds will go)
- train in various activities
The newsletter is called The News RAC formerly known as Branch Out. It is mailed out to all registered Rangers.
Up until 2008, Rangers represented one level of senior branches. The other two groups were Cadets and Junior Leaders. Together the senior branches were known as CAJURA. With the switch from three branches of senior girls to only Rangers, a new program was introduced, positions were revamped and RAC was born.
