Meet The PCs

"I PROMISE TO DO MY BEST"
Hundreds of thousands of girls and women have made the Girl Guide Promise
in Canada since Guiding began here in 1910.
The words are easy to say, but the 'keeping' of the Promise
is a challenge at whatever age it is made.

Judy Maurice was installed as the 17th Commissioner for the Province of BC at a ceremony at the Annual General Meeting in June 2003. Judy brings 17 years of experience as an adult Member in BC, and served in many capacities. She has been a Brownie Guider, a Guide Guider, a Camp Adviser, and a Commissioner at the District, Division and Area levels, in West Vancouver (Lions Area). Judy chairs the Provincial Council meetings, lending support and guidance to the many initiatives undertaken for the girls and Guiders in this province. Besides dedicating her life to Guiding, her other passion is trains and whenever she is able, you will find her on one chugging down the line to another adventure.

Along for the train ride are her Deputies, Daphne MacGregor-Greer from Victoria, Wendy Smith from Vernon and Joanne Stregger from New Westminster.

"My Deputies and I thank all of you for the valuable contribution that you are making to our society by being a Member of Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada and volunteering your time with us."
