West: Rock Creek and Westbridge;
East: West side of Kootenay Lake, Crawford Bay and Riondel are also included;
North: the northern most boundary is in line with Nakusp, New Denver and Kaslo;
South: USA Border.

Area PR Adviser
Willing to blow our own horn? Want to let everyone know how great Guiding is? Area is looking for a dynamic person to assist local Guiders in spreading the word. For more information, email: wkaggc@hotmail.com.

Area Membership Adviser
The Membership Adviser helps local Guiders develop plans to recruit and retain members. She works closely with the Awards. PR, and iMIS advisers and the CSR to “Grow Guiding” in our Area. For more information, email: wkaggc@hotmail.com.

Area Trainers
Guiders who receive training stay in Guiding longer. Want to keep those great Guiders in your District? Consider becoming a Trainer and enriching their experience. Trainers are trained, too, and are part of the Area Training Committee. We need Trainers from all parts of our Area to facilitate local trainings. For more information, email: wkaggc@hotmail.com.

Opportunities in West Kootenai Area Guiding:

Registrations (Three Sisters District) will be taken on October 1, 2007 in Nakusp at the Arrow Slocan Lakes Community Services (205 6th Avenue, Nakusp) from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

Girls and women of all ages are invited to become Members of Guiding. Contact us by calling 1-800-565-8111 and you will be directed to the appropriate person in your community. If there isn't a Guiding unit already underway in your community, consider starting one! There are many resources available to get you started: trainings, books, one-on-one mentoring, as well as information here and on the Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada national website.
