EVENT REPORT:
Hands Across the Border - June 10, 2007
Hands Across The Border (HATB), held the second Sunday in June, provides a unique international learning experience for thousands of Guides and Scouts from Canada and the United States of America. This year, themed “Bordering on Friendship”, marked the 86th Annual International Peace Arch celebration.
Guides and Scouts in both countries come together to commemorate the dedication of the Peace Arch and to celebrate our commonality. Flags from the 144 countries belonging to WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) are paraded by the girls. The 2008 celebration will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2008.
