EVENT REPORT: Hike for Hunger 2007

Lots of Guiding & Scouting members came out to enjoy a morning hike and all brought donations for the Surrey Food Bank. We gathered over 7,000 pounds of non-perishable food - equal to an approximate value of $14,000 - that's a lot of groceries!

We had party hats, balloons, facepainting & tattoos for all to enjoy. The 50th Sumac Sparks helped everyone sing Happy Birthday to Scouting - it's their 100th Birthday. Hiked around Bear Creek Park - with a stop at the food bank truck to drop off donations. We all had cupcakes and went home before the rain started!
