NOTE: ALL BC POLICIES ARE REVIEWED ANNUALLY
-
Policy: BC units operating near the Alberta and Yukon borders are permitted to camp in nearby Alberta and Yukon campsites (using Camp/Event Application and Report Form C2.)
Approved by BC Council, November 23, 2002
Additional Information: Usually, when a unit wishes to travel outside of BC there are additional Inter-Provincial Group Travel forms that must be submitted to the Provincial Office. For some Units in BC the closest campsite is outside of BC It is for those Units this exception has been made.
-
Policy: Invitations from Scouts Canada for Rainbucket, Rovent, Skeeter and Mardi Gras are for girls in Senior Branches or TREX, 15 years and older at the time of the event, who attend in groups with Guiding Leadership.
Approved by BC Council, January 18, 2003
Additional information: It is strongly recommended that for these invitational Co-ed camps, the Guider has received OAL training and has experience in this type of camping. The participating girls must also receive appropriate training in skills needed for each camping situation, particularly snow camping.
-
Policy: The Guiders who are counted as Adult ratio are to sleep in the same type of accommodation as the girls.
Approved by BC Council, January 18, 2003
Additional Information: This policy was written to ensure that the Guiders responsible for the health and safety of the girls experienced the same living conditions as the girls at camp. Other Guiders above the Girl/Adult ratio are excluded from this policy. The Responsible Guider does not necessarily need to be counted in the Girl/Adult ratio.
