Grace is one of the ceremonies that we use in all levels of Guiding. If you plan ahead to learn some new graces at your unit meetings, it will make it easier when you go to camp, or to District events where you might say grace and share food.
At a recent BC Council meeting, I was reminded of a great way to teach the girls different graces. The graces were printed out individually and glued to colourful recipe cards. You then hole-punch them, and keep your ever-expanding grace repertoire on a loosleaf ring. You can either laminate them, or use snack size ziplock bags as inexpensive waterproofing. I kept a set for each patrol in my Guide Unit.
When I was a Guide leader, each patrol had a set, and then when their food was ready, that patrol of girls would sing grace, and then enjoy their meal. For your convenience, here are various websites which list graces.
