Check out your District’s ‘Treasure Box’!

The purpose of the ‘Treasure Box’ is to provide Guiders with a variety of simple, engaging activities that will help develop map-reading and compass skills.

Inside the kit you will find a set of pink ‘idea cards’ and some supplies to go with the cards. You may want to put them into alphabetical order. The ‘idea cards’ have directions and supply lists for a range of activities that can be adapted for various ages and settings. Sample meetings are included for Sparks, Brownies, and Guides. The purple folder contains master sheets to photocopy for use with some of the cards. The directions for all items in the kit can be found on the ‘idea cards’. The list of contents for the ‘Treasure Box’ is included.

We hope that the box itself will also be useful, both as a place to hide ‘treasure’ and as a storage container for your District compasses (not included).
