What is CAJURA?

British Columbia Girl Guides has a very special council for all Senior Branches Members. This council was formed in 1998 and is called the CAJURA Council.

CAJURA stands for CAdets, JUnior Leaders, RAngers.

All Senior Branches registered in BC are part of this Council which meets twice a year; in the fall for training and in the spring for an Annual General Meeting and to elect the new CAJURA Executive; President, Secretary, Treasurer and a representative from each of the three Senior Branches. The Executive organizes events, trips, merchandise and publishes the Branch Out Newsletter. Any Member of the Senior Branches can run for an Executive position. The Executive meets 5 times a year including the two events with the whole council.

Guiders and Area
Senior Branches Advisers

Do you have a new Junior Leader helping you this year? Make sure she gets registered right away. Get the forms off to your Area Senior Branches Adviser so she can have her records up to date and then she sends it on to the Provincial office.

If you have girls in Senior Branches changing branches, joining LINK, or dropping out - Remember to send in a Registration Update List A.4. A copy must go to your Area Senior Branches Adviser and then she sends a copy to the Provincial office.

Make sure you know if there are Lones and Corresponding Cadets in your community. Please include them in your activities whenever possible.
