There are a number of programs for girls in grades 9-12, that brings girls together with women in sciences and technology, these programs are called telementoring and Quantum Leaps. http://www.harbour.sfu.ca/scwist/explore/index.htm Looking for someone to come to a unit to speak to the girls about careers in the Science and Technology fields, call toll free Science and Innovators in the Classroom at Science World at 1-800-363-1611 or email them at sisinfo@scienceworld.bc.ca, and they can direct you to Scientists throughout BC who would be willing to visit.
