Challenges

Here are lots of fun Challenges BC Guiders can do with their units. Many earn crests, pins, etc. (check individual Challenges for full details). For more information on available Challenges, check with your Commissioner or Camp, Program or International Advisers.

Arts to Go Challenges

Produced by the BC Training Committee as companions to the district Arts To Go toolbox. Ask your District Commissioner or Program Adviser for your district's copy. Try them both! Both Challenges earn free crests for BC Members.

Discover Hostelling Challenge

Suitable for Guides, Pathfinders and Senior Branches, this Challenge is fun to earn and can start you on the path to traveling around the world! This Challenge can help your unit become global citizens who are connected to people and places near and far. Guiders are responsible for completion of the Challenge requirements for each girl receiving a crest.

Diversity Challenge

Suitable for all branches, this Challenge encourages girls and Guiders to explore the concept of diversity and what it means in the community where they live. Crests will be available from the Provincial Guide Store in Fall 2006 (click here to see the design).

Earthkeeper's Challenge

Suitable for all branches, this Challenges gets girls outside with lots of fun program-related activities. Note, crests are no longer available.

Get BC Camping! Challenge

Suitable for all branches, this Challenge is in four-parts with camping and outdoor adventures for all four seasons. Please see our Camping Resources page for a notice regarding crests for this Challenge.

Global Gallop Challenge

Suitable for all branches, this Challenge uses globes, maps, the internet and more. Note, crests are no longer available.

Guiding's 95th Birthday Challenge

Produced by the BC Public Relations Committee as a fun way to celebrate this Canadian Guiding milestone. Suitable for all branches. Crests are free for BC Members.

Link Service Challenge

Designed for Link Members but adaptable to all branches, this Challenge's theme is "Citizens of the World". Link Members and groups across the country unite to provide service and support Link.

Provincial Commissioner's Adventure Challenge

Notify the Provincial Commissioner three month's prior to your adventure by submitting a completed copy of the form; keep original with your log book. Updated October 25, 2007

Science and Technology Challenge

This Challenge is in two parts: GET (Girls Exploring Technology) and Science in a Box. Crests are free for BC Members.

World Tour Binders Challenge

Produced by the BC International Committee as a fun way for all branches to explore the four Guiding World Centres. Crests are free for BC Members. Ask your District Commissioner or International Adviser for your district's copy.
