Poster board
Felts

Pictures of world flags
Smaller pieces of paper

Instructions:
1. Show the girls pictures of different flags. Have them choose a simple flag that belongs to a Guiding country (check Trefoil around the World).
2. Have the girls draw and colour the flag on the smaller sheets of paper.
3. Glue the flags to the poster board. Add a coloured border.
4. Talk about Guiding in the chosen countries. Lots of information can be found in Trefoil Around the World, Brownies around the World and the Internet.

GUIDES, PATHFINDERS, SENIOR BRANCHES
With girls this age, you can introduce the skill of quilting, hand, or machine. Novice seamstresses can make their flags out of felt (glue works well). If your girls can sew have them build their flags with fabric and designs put on.
