In early 2007, each BC Guiding Area was sent the 'Parade in a Box' tote. These totes contain templates, tools and resources to promote Guiding, including: banners, ponchos, a paper cookie costume pattern, tattoos, bookmarks, balloons, an activity booklet, the 'More Than a Parade in a Box' booklet, and audio and data CDs.

The More Than a Parade in a Box Booklet contains information on how to build a parade float; contracts, insurance and Safe Guide; flag etiquette; consistent Guiding messages; the cookie costume; team cheers; 40 cool things to do in Guiding; parade and event accessories; Guiding songs; and a Trefoil pattern.

Contact your Area public relations or program adviser to book/reserve your Area's tote for your next local parade, display or community event!
