The Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada logo/symbol (the Trefoil) is an important part of our identity and the BC Public Relations Committee has a responsibility to ensure that its use is consistent and in keeping with our guidelines for its use. Therefore, we have a process in place for Guiders to get approval and permission to use it on crests, clothing and any other items.

If you're planning to design an item which uses the Girl Guides of Canada logo, you must get approval from your Area Public Relations Adviser, or, if your area does not have an APRA, you must get approval from your Area Commissioner. After the APRA or AC have approved your proposed use of logo, they will need to forward the form below for approval by the BC Provincial PR Committee. Once the BC Provincial PR Committee has reviewed the proposed use of the logo, they either give approval or make recommendations.

APPROVAL PROCEDURE: Complete the LOGO/SYMBOL USE APPROVAL FORM below, showing how you will be using the Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada logo/symbol. After completing the form, be sure to ask your APRA or AC to approve it, and then mail, fax or email it in for processing. Be sure to complete all parts of the form before submitting for approval. If submitting by email, be sure to complete all information on the LOGO/SYMBOL USE APPROVAL FORM, and email, with scanned image, photo, jpg or tiff file, to bcgglogo@bc-girlguides.org.
