DISTRICT RESOURCES
Below are programs, materials and resources which have been created, produced and distributed by BC Council to Guiding districts within BC.

Join the BC Birthday on Parade!

2005 marked the 95th Anniversary of Guiding in Canada. To celebrate, we created a Birthday Book, which includes lots of great ways to celebrate this anniversary, with a cool challenge, service projects, activities, a crest and so much more. Copies were sent to each Contact Guider in the province. If you haven't seen a copy yet, ask your District Commissioner or Area PR Adviser for more information. Check out our 95th Birthday Celebration page to find out more!

Girl Guide camping in BC is loads of fun!

In BC, we are fortunate to have so many tremendous outdoor places to camp, including sea and lake-side, desert and park lands, mountains and rain forest areas. Check out our Camping Resources page, as many of the resources on this page, including the "Camp in a Box", are available through your District. Your District Commissioner, District Camp Adviser or Area Camp Adviser can give you more information about lots of resources which are available in your district.

Looking for an art activity, dance or song? Be sure to check out the "Arts To Go" toolbox in your district. It has: instructions on how to introduce the arts, lists of where arts fit into the Branches' programs, a cd with 29 songs for all ages, a campfire planning sheet, drama cards and games for all ages, and more. And don't miss the new "Arts To Go Challenge"! Check with your District Commissioner to borrow your district's copy.

International games and activities are available through you Area International Adviser, including the New World Tour, International World Tour binders and a cd of international songs. Check out our International Resources page for more available resources.

Science resources are available in your district, including "Science in a Box". Ask your District Commissioner about borrowing your district's copy. Check out our STEM Resources page for more science, technology, engineering and mathematics resources.

Check out your district’s ‘Treasure Box’!

We hope that you will find the resources included in this kit useful and fun. The purpose of the ‘Treasure Box’ is to provide Guiders with a variety of simple, engaging activities that will help develop map-reading and compass skills. Click here for more information.
