Guiding is a worldwide Movement for girls, led by women who are young at heart. It’s a place where girls and women can be themselves, have fun, learn skills, make new friends, enjoy camping, participate in new adventures and contribute to their communities. One example is participating in service projects.
Guiding is bold, fun, energetic and real. It empowers girls and women to face challenges with confidence. Guiding is an activity that 10 million girls and women in 144 countries around the world share through membership in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).
Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada is the largest organization for girls and women in Canada, with almost 135,000 members: 108,000 girls and 26,000 adults. Guides Canada welcomes girls 5-18+ years old and women 19+ to be part of the following groups (click on each Guiding branch for more information):
• Sparks - ages 5 and 6
• Brownies - ages 7 and 8
• Guides - ages 9 to 11
• Pathfinders - ages 12 to 14
• Senior Branches - ages 15 to 18+

Today’s women and girls are busy and selective in choosing their activities because of the many options available to them. Our program, through the various age groups, is well-rounded, flexible and diverse. Just read our Benefits of Membership - There are many ways to join the fun; contact us or complete our Join Us Anytime! form.
